Mourning the Passing of Winter and/or Welcoming Spring

Unlike many, I love winter. I revel in the beauty of the snow, the warmth of the sweaters, the coziness of the home, and the invigorating cold.

It's getting warmer here in Flagstaff. We've got snow today, but earlier in the week it was 70 degrees. This is almost certainly going to be the last snow of the season. It's time to say goodbye to my tasty hot chocolate...

and say hello to my Spring shoes! I'm making the best of this, you see.

And then, of course, there are the things that can be enjoyed year-round, like red velvet cake...

and blue cornmeal and blueberry pancakes.

I've been making progress in my knitting, sewing blankets, and making pyjama pants, but I'm getting ready to make a trip to Chicago and haven't had a chance to photograph them. So, until next time...
